Dear Friends and Family:                                                                                                                           December, 2013

May God grant each one of you a refreshing and joy-filled Christmas! We will keep this update short since you will receive many other updates during this special, holiday season.

Prayer Requests
  1. We have finalized our summer teams for the summer of 2014.  Please begin praying for these youth groups and their leaders, for the pre-trip training and equipping, for fruit and learning while in Cleveland, and for life-long applications of the lessons that are learned.

  1. We are about to hold our final session of our first membership class.  Makeup lessons will take place over the next month.  City View will accept our first members in January.  Pray for each one to grow in the Lord and to use their gifts for the sake of others.

  1. We have been given the go-ahead from a supporting church to begin looking for a ministry house to purchase and renovate in Cleveland.  Praise the Lord for the funds that He is providing through this church.  Pray for us to find the right facility and location.

  1. Both of our families are looking forward to time with all of our kids over the holidays.  Pray for each one to grow in the Lord and pursue Christ above all else.

  1. Both families have maintained a stable level of financial support since coming to the city.  However, we have to work part-time jobs to make up the difference in our monthly bills. There will be additional financial challenges, at least early in the new year, until the healthcare situation is hopefully stabilized.

We always get questions about year-end gifts at this time of the year. Financial support toward the salaries of either of our families can be sent to the Continental Baptist Missions address found here.  Contributions to help directly with the costs and outreaches of City View Baptist Church can be sent to City View Baptist at either of our home addresses which are also found here.

Thank you again.  It is humbling to know how many of you give to, encourage, and pray for our families regularly.
